As You Like It with SF Shakes Shakespeare on Tour

A second year directing Shakespeare on Tour! And this time with the show that brought me to SF Shakes in 2015, As You Like It. I had the immense joy of playing Rosalind and Amiens in the 2015 tour of As You Like It. It was my first show with San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. I was over the moon to play such an iconic character with such a renowned company... and now here I am, almost a decade later, as a resident artist getting to direct the same show for the same tour. Hundreds of students and adults around California will get to see (and hopefully enjoy) this wonderful classic that has so shaped my life and career... Yay!!!

This show is chalk full of skill! I feel incredibly lucky that all of these actors said yes to this contract! That is such a blessing for a director. Each cast member brings their own unique take on all of the characters and it has been an absolute joy working with each of them! There were some unforeseen challenges when tackling this show, but this cast continually banded together to bring a wonderful show to so many people. They had the entire van stolen... with all the costume and props inside... and yet! They still managed to keep their spirits up, laugh it off, and make some damn fine art. I am incredibly proud to have worked with each and every one of them.
