I am definitely not cool enough to be involved with this show, but here we are! Just a small movement director part when honestly these actors are incredible movers led by an absolutely jaw dropping choreographer and director... but I will happily accept! I am so grateful to be in the room with so many all stars. I have the pleasure of choreographing a singular moment, but I won't tell you too much as I don't want to give away such a climatic moment. Fights for Cymbeline!
A 80's fantasy inspired Cymbeline?! Yes please! What a fitting style for such a wild show. I have a soft spot for this show after having read it and done some Imogen monologues in high school. So, it was an absolute joy to get to do fight direction for San Francisco Shakespeare Festival's annual Shakespeare in the Park! Beatrice and Dogberry! Much Ado About Nothing
Beatrice AND Dogberry!!! Dare I dream!?! Beatrice has long been a dream role of mine, but to play her while also playing the clown... I am in heaven! Surrounded by an incredible team of seasoned and skilled performers, my heart is full performing this joyous comedy. Playing Beatrice at this time in my life felt right. She's a little older than the typical Shakespearean lover, I don't think I was ready to have played her with the nuance required before now. Her convictions run
